Anne & Eric's Wedding In Chamonix

The day began with cloud and the suggestion that maybe the weather would not be great. 
I first met Ann and Eric in March when they had travelled  to Chamonix from Paris to organize their big wedding in the mountain's of Chamonix.
The lovely couple exchanged vow's at the Marie's registrations office in Chamonix centre and from there the french couple, their friends and family moved on to the climbing and lake area of les gaillands where they set up tables and chairs and covered them in cheese, wine and champagne. 
The couple then moved on to a train with all their guests and headed up to the Montenviers Resaurant at an attitude close to 2000 meters, where they all celebrated and partied into the late evening.
It was a real pleasure to photograph the happiness that radiated from the happy couple and to also be involved in a very real French wedding. 
The french certainly know how to throw a really good party, and the day ended with the sun shining on the Mer De Glace, shimmering in the distance.
